Ascending Class:

Conducted by Mountain Rope Safety Courses for those rope rescue personnel who may be required to ascend a rope. Topics Covered: More in depth techniques, utilizing students personal climbing rigs, in order to pick-off a victim from a rope and descend to the ground, techniques to climb over difficult edges, switching from rappelling to ascending and back to rappelling and a long rappel and climb on the last day.

Student Requirements: Completion of Rope Rescue Operations. Students should bring their own climbing rig or utilize one of MRSC rigs. Students should bring appropriate clothing for weather conditions (i.e. rain, cold), a tight fitting pair of leather gloves, boots to protect ankles, protection for eyes, as well as provide your own food and drinks. (This is a very strenuous class and you must be physically capable of ascending a rope approx. 200 ft.)

MRSC: Will provide all other gear in order to conduct the class. A letter of confirmation along with directions upon registration & payment for class will be sent to student. .
Certifications:MRSC will provide a certificate of completion.

Class Hours: Two days (16 hours), Saturday 8AM-6PM Sunday 8AM-6PM

Cost: $100.00 per student - Class Size: No More than 6 people may attend!
